TO RENEW FLOWERS.-Last year's artificial flowers that are crushed and faded may bo renewed with a little gum arabic and a box of water-colour paints. Melt the gum Brabic in hot water to make a thick solution.; Unwind the wire that holds the flowers, and separate them. Take bach one, and colour or: rotouch with tho paints to renew it, and let them dry. If they are not faded, the gum arabic may be used at once, while still warm. Lay. each flowemnd foliage face down on a paper, and dampen each one well with'a small brush dipped in the solution on the under side. Arrange in:tho natural Bhape in a sunny place to dry. Being colourless/the gum arabic will not hurt dainty flowers and you will bo surprised how new and fresh they will be.' This method will renew, flowers when a sudden shower has spoilt the hat.
