POTATO PRICES.
A Wairarapa farmer writes advocating further combination by farmers in the buying and selling of produce, and states in support of his argument that recently when he wanted to purchase potatoes from merchants ,own ho was asked as much as £9 per ton. He thereupon proceeded to Oamaru, where lie bougnt twelve tons of tubers-and landed them at his own home at a saving of £40 on the first quotation.
