BABIES' AID SOCIETY.
A meeting of the Society for the Promotion of tho Health of Women and Children was held at the rooms, 116 Willis Street, yesterday. There were present :■ —Lady Stout, Mesdamos Fell, Chappie, and M'Vicar. Accounts for £i 4s. were passed for payment. It was decjdcd to increase the number of the committee, and several ladies were proposed and nominated, and will be asked to join this very necessary movement. Tho nurse's report was received, and showed good work and appreciation on the part of mothers who asked her assistance. Contributions were received from the following:—Mr. M'Donald, Miss Orr, Mrs. Burridge, Mrs. Fell, and Mrs. Chappie. Contributions should be forwarded to the lion, secretary, Mrs. M'Vicar, 45 Majoribanks Street, city.
