ATHLETIC PARK COMPANY.
MOTION TO GO INTO LIQUIDATION CONFIRMED. Some fifteen shareholders attended;a meeting of the Athletic Park Company, Ltd., yesterday, Mr: H. D. Bell; K.C., presiding. The chairman said the meeting had been called for the purpose of confirming a resolution passed ou 'September 25, which was worded as follows"That the company be wound up voluntarily, under the provisions 06 the Companies: Act, 1903, and that Charles Hayward Izard, of Wellington, solicitor, bo hereby appointed liquidator for the purpose of sucli winding up, and that the liquidator bo and is hereby empowered to sell the lease of the Athletic Park and all asseti) of the company (except its books of ao> count) to the Wellington Rugby Union* upon the terms and subject to. the condi. tions of the agreement for sale made betweea the New Zealand Rugby Union, registered, of the first part, the Wellington Rugby Union, registered, of the second part, and this company, of the third part.. It was decided, on the motion of the chairman, seconded by Dr. Collins, that the resolution be confirmed. ' Tho chairman then moved, as under:—■ "That tho remuneration to tho liquidator be the sum of £75, lie paying thereout all expenses of liquidation, including (inter alia) tho cost of advertisements, stamps, fees, and all legal and clerical" expenses.''Tho motion, which was seconded.by Dr. Collins, was also adopted without discussion. There was 110 further business, and tha proceedings concluded.
