TIMBER DUTIES.
. « Notification is given in this week's Gazette that from November 1 the export duties on white pine and kahikatea timber will bo ss. per 100 superficial feet on round logs, logs cut in half, and squared logs 10 x 10 or over. For flitches, any width and not exceeding ten inches in thickness, 3s. per 100 superficial feet will lie charged. Kauri logs, round-, cut in half, or squared, are to have a duty of 55., and flitches, exthirty inches in width , and nine inches in thickness, 3s.
