All tho tube railways in London, except the Central, were stopped for several hours on Saturday afternoon owing to a breakdown at the. Chelsea station. • • Thero were weird scenes in tho tunnels. All tho passengers alighted on the lines by mqans of ladders, and walked to tho stations. There was no panic when they were assured that the live rail would not be dangerous until power wps restored.
