FLOODS IN INDIA.
HUNDREDS OF NATIVES LOSE THEIR LIVES. DAMAGE' OVER A MILLION. (at TELEamra—press association— copiutonT.) Calcutta, September 29. There have been disastrous floods at Haidarabad, in tho Deccan, with heavy loss of life. Fifteen inches- of rain fell in thirtysix hours. ' ' HOSPITAL. COLLAPSES. HAIDARABAD IS ISOLATED. (Rec. October 1, 1.5 ajn.) Calcutta, September 30. Tho Musi River overflowed its banks at Haidarabad, flooded the Rcsidoucy, and overwhelmed the suburb Afaulganj, where tho Nizam's hospital collapsed,' burying a number of patients ; n the ruins. J Hundreds of natives have been drowned or killed. The damage is estimated at a million and a quarter sterling. : • .. . Haidarabad is isolated. Tho flood is racing over bridges.
