The " Standard " strenuously supports Sir Joseph Ward's request to the Admiralty for a man-of-war, for tho naval training of a thousand young New Zoalanders. In hiS speech in tlieTown Hall on Dominion Day, fully reported at the time, Sir Joseph Ward complained of the delay of tho Home authorities with regard to his request.
