SACRED CONCERT.
A sacred concert -was field at the" Church of the Sacred Heart, Hilly Street,-last evening, hi aid of the. organ fund, which benefited considerably, the church being crowded. The entertainment provided! 1 was of a,firstclass character, and the audineco Was'very' appreciative. Special, mention :is due the organist, Miss l'utnam, and the conductor. Mr. M, Guthrie. The following itenis were submitted: "Aguus Dei" (Mozart's Twelfth Mass), choir; "RienziV Prayer" (Wagner), Mr. J. Searlo; "Sancta-Mater, Istud Agas" (Rossini), Misses B. Jones, E. Henderson, and Messrs. J. Smith, and J. /"1.-nnnah; or-'an solo,■ "Offcrtoiro in F" i" ■ ■ "Miss Putnam; solo and chorus, Pup;-. Dominum" (Ziugarelli), IV!r.. :V.-. ■ - y.-id choir; "Ave Maria"' (Hoben), Miss B. ; "Ti Prcgo o Padre EWrno". iCnrsi-hir:,:i-t)' Miss Guthrie, Messrs. Searle and C'ir : oj "Gloria" (Schubert's Mass in'F)., choif 1 0 Salutaris" (Murphy), "Tnntiim (Murphy), and "Divine Praises" (-Fillh.tt),' were rendered by the - choir, 1 and the pro! gramme was brought to a conclusion by the interpretation, by the choir (soloist. Miss',\ r . Twohill) of an imposing "Laudato Dominum." .
