Alberti,. formerly Minister for Justico in Denmark, embezzled £605,000 from t the Zetland Peasants' Savings Bank. His forgeries on tho Farmers of Denmark Butter Export Association represent £225,000. The ''Daily. Mail" states that it is understood that Messrs. Wilier and Riley's losses represent a minor portion of the latter amount,- and that they ard apparently re-, oovorablo from the association, who can recover from, tho farmers individually. The " Butter Trado Journal," published in Copenhagen, states that 52 dairies are liable to pay £5000 each. This may ruin small farmers, who had no idea that they had any responsibility after receiving payment for their milk,
