Wimmera galloped live furlongs alone at a clipping pace. Anemono ran a solid mile, and then Lamsdorff>rid Golden Gate had a spin over a mile, the latter being well in front at tho cud. Tho time was lmin. 45scc. Husbandman appeared to better advantage than Inchbonny. over five furlongs, the last four taking 52sec. All Red (Jenkins), Diabolo (G: Price), and Taitoko (Olliver) ran a milo together on' tho courso proper in order to test tho state' of the going at tho bend into tho straight, wliero .it has been, returfed. The track was rather bare of grass, and, soft, but the gallop satisfied trainers and jockeys tliSt, tho going will bo very good and that there .will, bo no need to race on tho training track, as was suggested.'' The trio wer'o . "together throughout, finishing in line in lmin. 49sec. Exmoor shaped much bettor than Waimario over tho schooling hurdles,- and Xavicr was much too good for Moose, tho latter jumping poorly. Dusky Morn, Signor, and Guiding Step were given useful work oh tho plough, the two former looking particularly' well. Irish Riflo galloped a milo in taking style. Silver Lead wont two circuits at solid paco. Crucinella, Daisy Paul, and a number of others did useful work.
