DAIRY REGULATIONS.
; UNPOPULAR IN. WAIKATO. ' A -Cambridge i Press Association telegram states that considerable feeling is being manifested there •in regard to the provisions, of tho Dairying Bill before Parliament. At a meeting yesterday of the directors of -.the Cambridge Co-operative Dairy Company,, representing 130 dairy farmers, a resolution was passed that if the proposed dairy regulations'.aro carried into effect they will nave a disastrous effect on tho industry. ' The same message states . that '. another meeting of dairy farmers, 1 called by the Waikato Farmers' Club, was held yesterday afternoon. Discussion., adverse to the Bill took place, and the following resolution was carried unaniriiously :—"That while this meeV ing agrees with the principle of reasonable' inspection free of charge, and the registration of dairies, it considers that the, Bill in it's present.form would prove harassing and.impracticable, and would seriously: diminish, if not destroy, the dairy industry in the Dominion."
