ECC-LAYING COMPETITION.
A Christ-church Press Association telegram states that the total number of eggs gathered in the New Zealand Utility Poultry' Club's egg-laying competition at Lincoln College is 19,322, the number obtained during the''last , week being 1297. Mr. T. Kennedy's pen of silver wyaudottes is still leading with an aggregate of 679 eggs, of which 24 wero gathered during last week. The following aro the figures in respect of the npxt ton pens, the numbers in parentheses showing the eggs laid during the week: —A., Padmau's white leghorns (32), 611; "Poultry Journal" Institute white leghorns (28)>*597; Drury and Rose's white, leghorns (33),' SSB; Allan Petrie's white'leghorns (33), 573;' Master W. Sail's, white, leghorns (93), 569; W. A.-Nixon's white leghorns (35), 541; R. W. Hawke's white leghorns (34), 529; W. A. Nixon's silver wyandottcs 1 (36), 510; R. E. M. Evans's silver wyandottcs. (22), 509; W. A. Nixon's white leghorns (30), 506.
