The Toowoomba (Queensland) Chamber of Commerco recently passed a resolution " That this chamber, realising tho regrettahlo and : wholesale ignbraiice prevailing in the Southern States and New Zealand with ro gard to Queensland, and being cognisant of its inevitable effect- upon our commercial and industrial dovolopment, would suggest to the
Government tho urgent and absolute necessity of making arrangements with Reuter's or some other agency for the transmission of a weekly or bi-weekly budget of general information to tho leading newspapers of tho aforesaid States, relating to the commercial, pastoral, agricultural and industrial affairs of Queensland, niul generally to open up avenues for the dissemination of reliable and aut-hori-tativo information and tho removal of the many iridiculous impressions of Queensland that are in the' minds of peoplo living in tho Southern States and Now Zealand."
