Y.M.C.A. CRICKET CLUB.
Tho annual meeting of tho Y.M.C.A'. Cricket Club was held yesterday evening, about thirty members attending. Mr. J. H.' Green occupied tho chair. Tho report presented Ay the secretary, Mr. W. Upton, stated club was not very _ successful in tho junior championship, .winning only ono match. The batting aver-' age prize was won by Mr. C. Dixon, and tho bowling by Mr. H. N. Holmes. During the, year tho funds of the club were increased by the receipts from a concert' organised by. the Physical Committee. Thanks were extended to Messrs. Ait-ken,. Ferkins, Luke, Ilott, Tucker, Williams, and . Campbell for donations to the elub. The balance-sheet presented by Mr. Farmery showed that-, though there was a small debit balance, the finances of the club were in a better position' than at' tho end of the previous year. Tho following officers were elected for tho, ensuing year:—President,- Mr. J. G. W. Aitken; vice-presidents, Messfs. W. Tucker, W. Campbell, J. ilott, W. Williams, J. H. Williams, H. N. M'Leod, T. Warnock, J. G. Smith, W. G. Ferkins, G. Brown, T. Wardell, T. Ralph, W. L. Thompson, G. Tiller, and Dr. Elliott; secretary, Mr. C. Atkinson; managemant committee: Messrs. Midline, Bowmaker, Timperley, and Dyson. The office of treasurer was held over till a' futuro meeting. It was decided to enter, a senior team for the Saturday competition if tho association : will accept', it.
