FEATEERSTON.

The -firo 'brigade brought their dancc3 to a close on Thursday night with an invitation social, and notwithstanding dances held in Greytown and Martinborough thoro was a good attendance. Tho floor was in good order, and pleasant music was played by Mrs. A. Burt (piano), and Mr. C. Burt (cornot). Extras were played by Mr. and Mrs. 11. AY. Waters, Mcsdames B. Cundy, 11. Wickcns, Misses M. Burt, E. Davidson, and Mr. J. Lust. Mr. A. D. Annesley, of Carterton, gave a, song, "Imitations.'' The duties of M.C.'s wore carried out by Messrs. 0. Lust, and A. Iliggison. Miserable weather has been exporieneed here during tho past few days. Friday being ono of tho worst.
