By thb Navua, which has just ,'readied; Auckland from the Eastern Pacific,:- news i came fr6m Papeete of tho disaster! which overtook 'the barque Eton Hall, bound from Newcastle' to Valparaiso. On August 9 she was picked up bj[ Taiii&rii, Tahiti, dismasted, and was towed into Papeete. When the master of tho barquo was about to abandon the Etoiv Hall-two-members-of tho crew of tho barquo broached a demijohn of rum, and one stabbed the other to death. Tho prisoner was lodged in gaol at Tahiti.
