A meeting' of tho Society for the Protection of "Women and Children was held -yesterday afternoon in the society's ' }oom', Willis Street. In addition to-the cases ihich wero reported on as being under investigation, and others in which proceedings -ivere' being trken, was a now case of the alleged neglect of a child.
