COUNTRY FLOODED; GREAT DAMAGE, (BT ASSOCIATION—COPYHIOHT,) New York, August 27, A canal at Augusta, Georgia, burst its banks and flooded the city to a depth of from six to.twelve feet. The water carried away bridges and flooded farms. The damage is estimated at half a million dollars.
