A FUGITIVE SULTAN. ' London, August 25. Dr. Verdon, the military service-surgeon who assisted Abdul Aziz to escape after the overthrow of his troops, is a son of the late Sir George Verdon, of Victoria. Sergt. Balding, who also stuck pluckily to the discomfited Sultan, worked tha guns after the soldiers had deserted.
