The vessel, which left London on July 0, is duo in Wellington on August 26.

■THE MAPOURIICA. , Yesterday, at 7.30 a.m., the Union Company's steamer Mapourika left Greymouth for Westport, where sho arrived at 3 p.m. She was fixed to leave Westport at 0 p.m. yesterday for NelEon, and should arrive hero this afternoon. MARERE, FROM LONDON. Messrs. Bannatyno and Co. report that the Tvscr Lino steamer Marero, from London, via Australia and Auckland, is expected to reach Wellington nest Thursday. The vessel is fixed to proceed to Commonwealth ports for Homeward loading. A. AND A. LINE. Advice has been received that the A. and A. Line steamer Jeanara .from New York, arrived at Sydney on Thursday. The vessel, after calling at Auckland, comes on to Wellington, where sho is duo about September 7. FIFESHIEE, FOR AYONMOUTH. To-day tho F.H.S. Line steamer Fifeshiro is expected to leave Waitara for Wellington, and is duo here in time to continuo loading operations ,on Monday. Her departure for West Coast United Kingdom ports from Wellington is fixed for August 26. THE MORAYSHIRE. Advice has been received by the N.Z. and African S.S. Company reporting the arrival of the F.H.S. liner Morayshiro at Bristol on August 19, after a smart passage from Lyttelton. JACKSON'S HEAD LIGHT. , In yesterday's issue wo announced that tho Jackson's Head Light was reported to bo not showing. Tho Marine Department advise that an order was sent Home some time ago for a Pintscli gas light, v.-hich is to be installed at Jackson's Head. The new apparatus is duo in AVellington at an early date, and will be installed immediately on arrival. Mr. W. Gray, of tho Union Company's Dunedin staff, is at present on a visit to Wellington.

To-day tho Koromiko is expected to leave Auckland for Wellington. She is duo hero early next week.

On Thursday, at 7 p.m., tho Pukaki arrived at Greymouth from Wellington, and is timed to leave there to-day for Wellington.

The Poherua arrived in Greymouth at 2 a.m. yesterday, and was fixed to sail for Wellington last night, being due hero this evening.

At S p.m. on Thursday, tho Union Company's steamer Waipori arrived at Westport from AVellington. She was expected to proceed to Greymouth at 2 p.m. yesterday.

Captain Stewart assumed command of tho Penguin yesterday, and Captain Manning joins the Pateena, which enters the Lyttelton ferry servico to-day.

On account of ndverso weather, tho Hinemoa was detained at Kaipara, and left there yesterday for Manukau. Under ordinary circumstances sho should reach Wellington about nest Wednesday. Captain Colin M'Donald takes tho Mararoa through as far as Dunedin, where she undergoes overhaul, etc. The Pateena is relieving the Mararoa in the Lyttelton-Wellington ferry service. While at Lyttelton, the F.H.S. Lino steamer Fifeshiro loaded tho following exports:—For Avonniouth, 1749 carcasses mutton, 3 cases hardware, and 27G sacks peas. For Liverpool, 12G2 carcasses mutton. For Buenos Ayres, (& packages harvesters, ex Ulimaroa, from Melbourne.
