The Prime Minister, Mr. Asquith, has appointed Mr. J. A. Poaso Patronage Secretary and Chief Whip in succession to Mr. Georgo Whitcley, and tho Master of Elibank, tho Scottish Government Whip, as Mr. Pease's successor in the position of Second Whip, There has passed away at Denbigh one of tho oldest clergymen in tho diocese of St. Asaph in tho person_ of the Rov. Lewis Williams, rector of Prion, near Denbigh. He was ordained in 1862, and. has spent forty jcars' in the parish of Prion.
