Does tho Bill not make provision for raising also the. salaries',, of teachers in tho secondary department of. District High Schools? If so, will you bo good enough to publish tho'schedule? If not,, to ask why not? Tho matter is of much importance to a large number of teachers, for the attendanco at District High Schools is; not increasing, and unloss a new Bill comes to our assistance our plight promises to be worse .than- that of our primary brothers.—l am., etc., July 24. ' "SECONDARY." Provision is mado in tho now Bill for in-' creased payments to District High School teachers. The total' salary, 'payable to the head teacher shall bo tho salary for tho head teacher of a mixed schobl of. tho grado next higher than tho grade in''which tho District High School is placed; or if the last-named grade is Grado X there shall bo an additional amount of £30 per annum payablo to tho head teacher.
