'' • There is a wonderful'three-year-old on the American turf this season; in tho shape of Colin, by Commando—Pastorella. Tho youngster has raced thirteen times without even being beaten or oven extended, and is reckoned to be ono of the greatest horses ever bred in America. His owner, Mr. J. R. Keone, omitted to'enter him for the Epsom • Derby, for. which ho thought tho colt would liavo had a great chance. One of the dead-lieaters in tho last French Derby was Seasick 11, a "Soil of .tho Upas horso Elf. Tho bag is con- . nected. (a writer states) with a valve, which can.be attached to tho pump used for inflation, or the inventor will supply a'set of tubes connecting all four feet with an air tank in the sulky seat. . 'The latter scliemo is somewhat cumbersome, however. Tho inventor, not being a-.'slow man, says that'it .has been tried on a trotter that improved Ilia record- 13sec. in a private trial.
