' London, July 14. 1 The Rockfortbridge branch of tho United Irish League adopted a resolution recommending Mr. John E. Redmond, chairman of the Irish Nationalist Party, to Mr. Asquith, Prime Minister, for a' peerago, in consideration of his aid in tho success of the Liberal cause. ' The National Directory's Standing Committee took the view that this resolution is an act of troason, offensive to tho Chairman, and contrary to the constitution of tho organisation. The Standing Committee therefore ordored the, disbandment of the Rockfortbridge branch. This order tho South Westmeath Executive of the League has contemptuously referred back to tho Standing Committee.
