WELLINGTON FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION.
The committee of the Wellington F.A. met last-night, Mr.. H. Waters presiding. . P. L. O'Connell, who refereed in the match Thistle v. Rovers, notified the Committee that,. towards the end of the game, he had occasion to order a Thistle player off the field for speaking contemptuously of- the 1 fe'ree. It' was resolved that the player be : suspended for two playing Saturdays. • The Rev. A. de H.' Robmsori wrote with reference to the .fifth grade match, St.-Paul's ■ v. Boys' Institute, arranged to be placed at Miramar on: June 20.'- -Ho asked • the committee to - reconsider its decision that the , game should be held over for replay if necessary. There was' no reason why'- St. 1 Paul's' who, turned out iri full strength, should not have been allowed a -win by default against their opponents) only' four of whom hadturned up by, 2.15.; Members: of .the committee explained that the . .match was riot originally fixed ! Kiawarra (which could not be played last Saturday owing to the condition of Newtown Park) should be.played-at the". end of the season. : The question of sending, a represeritafiva team to Auckland: to play a match there during Fleet week was discussed.
