PARASOL HANDLES.

It is recorded that among tho wedding presents of Lady Ruby Elliot, the Viceroy of India's daughter, wcro no fewer than seven parasol handles. The parasol handle has, in fact, become an interesting item in the world of fashion, and it strikes out in now lines for itself each season. This handle is a very ornate affair indeed, reposing in its bed of velvet in most costly designs in the West End jewellers' shops. To-day it is the, fashion to buy the handle, and then to have it mounted with a silk or chiffon cover in the samo shado as tho frock which it is to accompany. Theso handles show a great deal of variety, individuality, and, if tho truth must be told, of oddity in design. The latter will be consoling; of course, to thoso lovers of pretty dress accessories who cannot always indulge their taste for the new and extreme.
