DRESS AT THE ROYAL ACADEMY.

, I am told wonders of tho dress at the Royal Acadomy private view (says the London' correspondent of tho "Australasian"). Ono was of' the brightest possible'shade of royal blue, another of emerald' "fireen cloth, worn with a long clinging white, cloth gown, and a black hat with emerald feathers.; A little lady woro palo . grey gauze, buttoning the whole way down tho back in, tho now style. Tho buttons were those' shiny. ones that appear to bo covered with ■ floss silk. The form of the gown was Princess, with plain fronts, very - slightly full. A good deal of variety would appear to bo tolorated by La Mode at present;, for ono of the prettiest women at the View was arrayed in a wonderful early Victorian brown silk, mado very full indeed, _and with the old-fashioned double gatherings fitting the fullness of the . ekirfc. into the waist. The large hat was Iwliite straw, and crowned _ with flowers." The; vogue of blue still continues.
