' Lomoino, who was charged with swindling Sir Julius Wernher by pretending that ho could make diamonds, and who was liberated on bail so that ho might havo a chance to show his skill, lias presented the magistrate with a miniature diamond. < Ho made many excuses for not producing a 300 carat stone, and requested a further postponement of the case. The magistrate granted a postponement till Juno 17, when tho envelope which was deposited with tho London, Union and Smiths' Bank, and which is supposed to contain a certain formula, will be oponed.
