Tho Admiralty has decided ■ that ethergraphs : will render carrier pigeons unnecessary ■ " - : f Tho "Standard" states that tho' Admiralty, by selling tho birds, will effect an economy of only £400 a year. On the other hand, pigeons will still bo needed, on piclot boats used for watchiug hostile harbours in time of war. ■ , German agents havo been instructed to buy the pigeons regardless of cost. Tho birds can be bred to homo from any direction.
