A BERLIN CHURCH BURNED.
REGIMENTAL FLAGS DESTROYED. The historic Garrison Church in the cenfcro of Berlin was burned clown on April 13, and only the four outer charred walls were left standing.' The (ire broko out at seven o clock,-and four hours Inter the church was a heap of ruins. Tho operations of the'firemen were the moro difficult owing to constant _ collapses of the : fabric. The bells fell from the tower which then collapsed with a terrific crash. The roof also fell bit by bit. Many old regimental flags, dating from tho glorious time of Frederick the Great, wero destroyed. Tho firemen found it to bo a case of arson, ,tlio fire having been deliberately started in two different parts of the church, one theory being that it was an Anarchist 'outrage, and another that somo individual with- a mania for arson was the culprit. For some time previously there had been one case of arson in Borlin every day, and it is thought that tho Garrison Church firo was the work of tho samo individual.
