' King l Edward, Queen Alexandra, and the Prince of AVales mot M. Fallieres in the Industrial Hall of tho Franco-British Exhibition. They proceeded to the Court of Hon=our, where numerous presentations wero made. An inspection of tho French, British, and Colonial Courts followed, but was necessarily brief. The Canadian Court is unfinished, and has not yet been opened. - AT THE NEW ZEALAND COURT. Mr. Walter Kennaway, Secretary to tho Department of the High Commissioner for New Zealand, representing tho i High Commissioner, received the Royal party at the New Zealand Court. Mr. F. 6. B. Waldograve (Under-Secretary of tho New Zealand Justice Department), Mr. J. Maclean, and Colonels W. Smith and E. W. C. Chaytor were present. Mr. H. C. Cameron (New Zealand Produce Commissioner) explained tho' principal features. King Edward* was, delighted with the sporting exhibits, particularly those of red deer, from tho stock presented by tho Prince Consort to New Zealand many years ago. Tho King also admired the kauri trophy and rugs and tweeds made from Now Zealand wool. AUSTRALIAN EXHIBITS. , (Rcc. May 27, 10.15 p.m.) London, May 27. Lord Jersey (forijierly Governor of New South Wales). recoived tho Royal party in tho Australian Court. Ho explained tho arrangement of tho Courts and the joint oxhibits. Tho Royal party visited the other Courts of the Australian States. Mr. C. H. Rasc-n, Agent-General for West Australia, presented King Edward with an inkstand mado of West Australian wcods. Queen Alexandra was deeply interested in Queensland opa-ls and beryls, and asked that a selection of stones bo. sept to her. King Edward informed Lord. Jersey that he took extreme pleasuro in tho appearance, of the Australian Court, and he congratulated all concerned on tho fine management displayed. Ho regretted the shortness of his visit, but would c'onie again. . The verdict of tho French President, M. Fallieres, was: "Tres magnifique." King Edward was greatly pl&ased with tho Australian ,tropical garden in tho central half of tho 'Australian Court. '■ The commissioners, agents, and representatives of Now Zealand and the Crown Colonies wero presented to Their Majesties and to tho President. 1 >.
