Seven .degrees - of ; frost' was registered' in Masterton during Tuesday night. Frosts in tlie Wairarapa have so-far been much, more 'severe 1 than in the corresponding period last winter._ -.Till May 20 of last year the temperature did .not' fall more than two degrees below freezing point, and it, was not till newly-.the middle of June that frost' was exprienced as severe: as that .recorded 1 last 'night. ;■ ... .

Fishor, in referring to'the fact that tho present system by which there ..were .only, two. doctors on ,the honorary- staff was unsatisfactory, moved that new arrangements permitting all the Masterton doctors to bo .on the honorary .staff-bo entered into on April. 1, .1009. Tho meeting adjourned consideration 'of this measure till, next month. ■ This matter lias now' been before the Trustees . for , many months", and their action in continually'deferring it is occasioning a certain amount of adverso commont amongst the public.
