- OPERA JIOUSE. "The Midnight Hour" was played finally last evening. To-night the Geach Company will revive the sensational drama " A Modern Adventuress," which was produced by tho company during its last season in Wellington. Though of the extreme typo of melodrama, "A Modbrn Adventuress" has a well-defined interest, which is aided by an extremely vivid characterisation on the part of - that magnetic actor, Mr. H. W. Tho opportunities for stage pictures are said to have been made the most of by those past masters of the scenic art, Messrs. Bro&d, Little,. and Gordon. To ensure Saturday's production being perfect in every detail, Mr. T. Foster, stage manager, and a staff of mechanists, electricians, etc., will arrive in Wellington to-day. These enlargements) to tho instrument cost about £105, and the satisfactory naturo of tho additions was well shown last evening,. when. Mr; Robert Parker, L.T.C.L., gave an enjoyable recital before a crowded audienco: Tho organist's programme included Handel's "No. 2 Concerto," an air from one of Bach's cantatas; Haydn's " Variations," from his "Symphony in A Major," a " Romanco " from Mozart's " Concerto in D minor," "Pastoral" (Guilmant), and a march composition by Sir Frederick, Ousel}'.
