The fall of'a crane caused the collapse of the roof of a building that was being erected at Ultimo. A dozen men wero buried, and six who wero injured aro in tho hospital. Nono of them is seriously injured. SCULPTORS' SUCCESS. London, May 5. The price 'paid for tho statues of "Diana" (tho work of tho Australian sculptor, Mr. M'Kcnnal) and "Ariadne," which havo been bought for the nation by tho trustees of tho Chantrey bequest, is one thousand guineas each.
