M'Kenzie occupied the chair at tho 3 monthly meeting of the Central Pharmaceutical Association held in'Godber's Booms •' on Thursday evening. 'A letter was received from Nurse Sexton (district.nurse).soliciting chemists' assistance in her work in . helping the poor of the cit.v. The letter was sympathetically received, and a favourable reply was instructed to be forwarded. A letter and circular were received from the • Wellington Industrial. Association and tho Now Zealand Shopkeepers' Association v asking tho chemists to assist with window 6 displays of locally-manufactured goods between June 4 and 10. After some discussion it was decided to co-operato in tho Local Industries movement, and members were in--0 structcd to apply to Mr. H. F. Allen for ■ show cards, etc. A letter was recoivcd from • Queensland asking the chemists to send a V dclogato to a scientific conforenc to bo held II thero later in tho year. It was decided to hold tho Now Zealand Chemists' Conference 'iu'Wellington- on June 9 ,and 10, just prior to the mooting of S tho New Zealand Pharmacy Board. A letter ivas received'from' Dr. Newman stating that ho would bo pleased to give a lecturo on the ancient Maori before tho Association, which offer was accepted with thanks, and tho secretary was instructed to 1 make tlia fleccssaxy. arrangements.
