TEAM WILL PROBABLY GO IN 1909.

; At a mooting of the' Commonwealth Riflo Council Executivo Committoo rccontly it was reported that the Now South Walos Itifie Association intends framing a special programme for a prize meeting to bo held in 1909, to celebrate its jubilee. It was decided to invito teams from Great Britain .and other countries to take part in the mooting, and in tho "Empire" Match, to bo shot the samo year. . Tho subject of sending nn Australian team to Bislcy next year was discussed at tho meeting,-and it was decidcd to take steps in tho direction of realising that aim. A deputation was appointed to wait upon tho Minister for Defencc, Mr. Ewing, with the request that £2000 be set apart by tho Federal Government for the purpose. ■ Mr. Ewing, when seen, made a favourable reply, and' there seems ovory prospect of sending a team to again battle for the Kolapore Cup of 1909.
