A meeting of. the Old Girls' Association was held in the ■ Girl's . College on Friday afternoon to discuss plans for tho entertainment'to be given- by them on Friday, May 22. It was.decided that the evening's amusement should take the form of a couple of plays for the first part, and dancing for tho rest of the'time. As there are only six weeks between now and tho 1 ; 21st, tho Old Girls aro anxious that all those taking part shall bo very constant-in their attendances at.tho rehearsals. ~- . The girls now attending the College are getting up a bazaar to take placo on Friday, May .1, arid tho; members of the Old Girls' Association are taking charge of a stall for homc-mado sweets. Those assisting aro. the Misses Waterhouse,' Meek.'(2), B. Richardson, Gibson,.Hobday I Stowart, Croll, Zohrab and Winder. Tho bazaar is to open in tho afternoon, and will remain open during tho ovening. . Miss,Parker,' daughter of Mr.- W. Pr.rkpr, chemist, •. of ■ Manners Street, leaves. on \ a trip to England on May S, joining tho, Runic at' Sydney. . . . . Miss Mina Caldow, of Wellington, has. been engaged to sing in a performance of '".Elijah,'' to bo given at Palmerston North next month.' ' ■'.'Mr. and' Mrs. J. A. Riddcch, of Melbourne, we're in town > yesterday. , Tbo annual-meeting of the. Ladies' Branch of <the Wellington Golf Club was- held on Thursday afternoon, at the residence of Mrs. W. After the conclusion of the entertainment given .by tho.
