Tho Cabinet at Lisbon has ordered a searching inquiry into tho riots that took place during tho elections. . Tho. allegation has boen made that tho Municipal Guard fired a volley dntp unarmed crowds; Tho Guard wounded fivo soldiers belonging to a dotachment that was marching pa6t Sail Domingo Square, which-was .tho scene of tlio chief riots. '. It is stated that the Guard thero fired 170, shots,' aiming generally at tho ground. Seven hundred arrests havo been made, including many of tho proletariat, who were found in possession of large sums of money. TWO SOLDIERS . SHOT. ,- ' Lisbon, April 9.
