THE TYSER LINE, Tho Stnr of Scotland and the Marere, both of which were expected to leave Napier for Wellington yesterday, wflrn delayed in consequence of the heavy weather prevailing. The Marere is expected to arrive on Sunday, and is timed to sail for the Bluff on Monday. The Star.of Scotland should show up about the same timo» ■
THE AYRSHIRE. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Ayrshire arrived at • Waitara at' 7 o clock on Thursday night, from Brisbane. iU'°tiH Waitara she goes to. WELLINGTON-PICTON-NELSON SERVICE.' Owing to the southerly gale the Rotoiti could not he taken off the Patent Slip yesterday, consequently ' her trip to Picton to-da'v has been abandoned. The Arahura is to leave Wellington at 12.45 p.m. to-day instead of 10 p.m., and will call at Picton on her way to Nelson, Westport. and Greymouth. The Pateona leaves Nelson at 10 o'clock this morning, and will call at Picton on hoi wav back to Wellington. • The Rotoiti is to leave here direct for Nelson at 10 30 o'clock on Sunday night. It is understood: that a defect was discovered in the Rotoiti's propeller, and a new one has been fitted. ■ ' THE MANUKA. ~ . The TJnion Company's steamer Manuka. 4505 tons, Captain E. Phillips, arrived from Syd. ney. via East Coast ports, about 2 p.m. yesterday.. The vessel left-Sydney at G p.m. on March 11, and arrived at Auckland last Sunday afternoon. She left there on Tuesday, Gisborne on Wednesday, and Napier on Thursday, at 5 p.m. On the run from Napier the vessel encountered a strong S.S.W. gale and heavy sea throughout the voyage, -which lasted °?'? r hours.' ' The Manuka had a considerable list when she. arrived here, attributed to some of the cargo and bunker coal shifting during the heavy weather experienced. The Manuka brought 250 tons of general cargo for discharge at Wellington, and has left for Lyttelton' and Dunedin to complete discharge.
