Shaekloton. Captain England was engaged as navigating officer, but Lieutenant Shaekloton, when the vessel arrived at the ico, attempted to interfere with his duties and dictate his course. Captain England refused to do anything but what lie , himself thought best for "tho safety of tho ship, hence the trouble. The men declared themselves perfectly, willing to serve under Captain England, but did not relish'the prospect of serving under Lioutenant Shaekloton.
