The -weather has completely disorganised .the arrangements of the Carnival Committee, and everything was at a standstill again to-day on -account of the heavy rain. There is still a large crowd , in' town,., but; a':' considerable number 'of - people have left, and lit a meeting of tho' Executive .Committee, called to discuss.the.position it was decided: to hold tho!; Swimming Championships tomorrow, no -matter what the •weather'con-, ditions may bo, as tho second distances aro, set down-for Monday, and the Committee recognised-that it would be unfair to ask' competitors to swim' the whole of the championships in one day. Arrangements havft. been made to hold-the Sirimming Sports it, Tomoana Lake, if tho original course on tho west shore cannot be used. A considerable amount of dissatisfaction has been expressed at:the turn matters have, taken; but, generally speaking, competitors have met the carnival committofl in a sportsmanlike manner. The cemmitteo'is poworless to do more than they have done under 'the circumstances. .
