' Chief of the , Chicago polico, Mr.' Shippy's son- and coachman, and then shot and stabbed Mr. Shippy, who .finally, shot the man dead. .•.'lt has now been ascertained that Averluch, tho alleged Anarchist, was merely trying'to obtain a passport.. ;It is, .believed that Mr. Shippy, who had been the recipient of- Anarchist threats, attacked the man,' believing; him. to be an Anarchist, and that Averluch acted in self-defencp.
