Yesterday afternoon Mrs. Jacob Joseph 'pare : a largo "At Home" at her house in flcbson Street. The tables were beautifully d'.'.'jorated with pink cosmea, and the afterneon'tea, at which coffee, but 110 tea, \yis .served, was distinguished by a variety of 'he most delicious Continental sweets in all torts of colours, shapes, and flavours. Mrs. ■Joseph wore .1 handsome frock of dark i'alfeta, with j'oko of roso point lace, and strappings of velvet ornamented with many beautifully embossed buttons. Miss Joseph was" in biscuit-coloured crepe-de-chine, with yoko and sleeves of rose point lace; Miss Elsie Joseph, in a very pretty whito muslin frock trimmed, with Valenciennes. A wedding that created a good deal of interest took place at St. Peter's Church yesterday afternoon, when Miss Ivy Marshall, •J'ilighter of. Mrs. J. T. Marshall,'of Nairn Street, :was married to Mr. Stanley J. W. Gill, son of Mr. .W. Gill, of the Alliance Assurance Company. The .ceremony' was performed by the Piev. 6. P. Davys. Mifs Mary Marshall, sister of tho bride, and Miss Ella Gill, sister of the bridegrqom, acted ns bridesmaids, and the bride was also attended by ,little Miss Eva Gill, "nieco of the bridegroom, and Master Dr.ll Eawso'n, her nephew. Mr J. PI. Frater was best man, and Mr. Austin D. Briggs gr v oomsnian. The bride wore a dress of. cream chiffon-taffeta and a'.beauti-fnlly-worked tulle veil, and she carried a li'jiiquet of white roses and lilies. The brides-; maids wore frocks of cream crystalline,, and palo blue silli glace hats trimmed ' 'with shaded roses. They' carried bouquets of pink arid cream roses with scarlet dahlias. Little Miss Eva Gill wore a whito muslin frock, aid big Leghorn hat. At St. James's Anglican Church, IConini, on: Monday-morning,. Mr. Pringlo Davey, eldest son of Mr. ,T. H. Davey, M.P., of Cbristchurch, was married to Miss Ivy Marion Daysh, youngest daughter of Mr. H. Daysh, Konini.-The ceremony was performed by the Rev. C. H. Isaacson. The bride wore Indian lawn, trimmed with lace and'satin ribbons, embroidered veil,, and carried a lovely shower ' bouquet. Two' little children, Marion Bainbridge and Noel Warnock, daintily attired in white, and carrying baskets of flowers, attended the bride. -Mr. Douglas Davey, brother of'tlw bridegroom, w'as best man. A quiet wedding was celebrated on .Wednesday in St. John's Church, Fcatherston, when Mr. Alfred William Renwiclc, lat-o of Cantorbury, was married to Miss Emily Juno Mellish, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Mellish, son., of Fositherston. Tho brido was in white silk, with veil and orango blossoms. Slio was given away by her father, and attended by her niece, Miss Eva Mellish, who woro a dress of whito silk. Mr. E. Mellish, juri., was best man, and the Rev. T. J. Smith performed tho ceremony.'
