Stanley Yyooldridge, a driver, Avas beforo tho Court, and'pleaded guilty; sentence-being, deferred alicl tho case remanded till to-day, so that accused's father (tho owner of tho horses) might bo ! brought beforo tlio Court. His Worship!said-that th.o horsos themselves wero tho best evidence. ;.-i. Tho wounds ana sores must have been tliero for weeks, aiid were in a, horriblo state.- ilt was the worst case -ho had ever seen., Theso poor dumb animals, which did. Wooldridgo's work, had no means of retaliating, and had to suffer ill silence. Cruelty to dumb animals was the, worst cruelty; Ho had power to scntoncq accused to several mouths',, imprisonment, and intended to inflict a substantial penalty in respect of the S.
