It is -proposed - that- tho pageant should cover, all-tho most important episodes in tho history. .df London. Authoritativo and specialised subcommittees aro -being np-: pointed, consisting of tho foremost men of tho day, in order to secure'the best results in tho literary, musical, and artistic sides of the pageant. From 7000, to 10,000 ' ladies and! gentlemen recruited from all tho municipall boroughs of London will tako part. ■ In order that tho pageant may bo . a oompletß success,', tho assistanco of the .various local mayors and authorities in tho county of London is being invited. The animal carnival of the Swifts Ainnleur Swimming Club will be held nr Tc Aro Hatha on Saturday next, at 2.30 p.m. - A -brass band will attend, und afternoon tea: will be provided.
