Mr Kettle, S.M., heard evidence this afternoon in the charge preferred against Thomas Gresham, the City Coroner,; that, on December 0, 1907, ho did cruelly ill-treat a doe by causing the same to be hooked by a fishhook. Defendant said . the hooks were placed on the fence tp prick end tho and not to cateh them. Jlr. Kettle reserved Ins judgment.
