——• THE CLOSING-,■MEEUNCt. ' Tho conference of-Christian Union students at Trentham closed on Thursday iiiglit. A vote of thanks to those, who had addressed the students was passed. The Rev. Mr. Smith, Messrs. Shirt cliffe and Balcoinbe-Brown, and Mesdames Smith, - Shirtcliffe, - and Brown were thanked for their kindness and hospitality, as were Mrs. Evans for acting as chaperons*, at the girls' camp, and Mrs. Barton for tho use of her grounds for .picnic pur''"short addresses, taking the form of a misr sionary appeal, were- delivered by the Key. F. C. Long and Mr. D. -M. Lyall, (lie retiring I ravelling secretary. Mr. Lcng said that the foundation of all work - for, Ch net was the Lordship of Christ. ;, -Sonic made lords of friends and relations.'' Eaeh one must simjibput himself in God's hands. Mr. Lyall said that, many .of us were called to serve, but the question", was, where should wo serve—whether at home, or in the uttermost parts of the earth. ; God's guidance should be taken. Sometimes calls came, and thero should bo a personal response to these culls. Simply say: "llere am I, take me."
