OBITUARY.

4 A private cablegram was received yesterday nnnouncing the death of Mrs. H. R. Clark, the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Barnes, of Austin Street, and wifo of Mr. H. R. Clark, of Sydney. Mrs. Clark was on a visit to tho Homeland with her son, who was to enter upon his studies at Rugby. Death occurred on Christmas I'lvo, at the homo of her sister, Mrs. Hay, Kidderminster. Mrs. Hay, mother of tho lute Mr. John liny, Commissioner of Crown Lands in Invercarp.ill, died at Romahapa on Thursday, at the g)"eat age of 00. Mrs. Hay arrived in Mew Zealand in 18=19, in the Ajax. Mr. Charles Godfrey, lighthouse-keeper at Tory Channel, died on New Year's Day.
