The description contains the following passages The iirst arrivals reached the Lonsdalo Street entranco at. about a quarter to eight o'clock. One lady had her sunshade smashed in two, and another lost her waist-belt, while another had her handbag torn from her grasp. A lady who had brought her ten-year-old daughter along with her was parted from the child in the stampede, and had it not been for the promptitude of a constable in pulling the child back she ivould probably have suffered serious injury. Amongst tho crowd that attended after luncheon adjournment was a- lady who was followed by her dog. When the crowd began to surge and jostle his mistress, the dog rushed into tho crowd, and snapped at the legs of men. Undeterred by kicks, tho little animal again and again attackod, and finally ho gripped his mistress's dress aiid tore a piece out of it. The door swung open with a bang, and mistress and dog were parted.Tho lady got into the Court; and the dog waited during the afternoon in the Courtyard. :
